The YMCA of Lethbridge is celebrating this monumental milestone by doing our biggest giveaway yet.
Join us during the month of May for Race to 10k! There are tons of prizes and ways to enter for both new members and existing members, so whether you’re new to our community or have always been a part of it, we’re looking forward to sharing the excitement.

Grand Prize (1 for current members, 1 for new members):

- YMCA Fitness Kit (merchandize/swag and fitness gear)
2nd Place Prizes (10 in total):
- 3 month plus memberships

- 31 various prizes; one for each day of the month

Youth 10K Challenge Prize (2 for youth – teen/child):

How To Enter:
Grand Prize - Current Members
All current members receive 31 automatic entries if they are active as of May 1, 2022.
Additional entries can be gained in the following ways during the month of May:
- 1 extra entry for each day you visit the facility
- 1 extra entry for attending a fitness class (must be signed up online.)
- 31 extra entries for referring a friend and having them join as a member (see “Referrals” section for more details)
How To Enter:
Grand Prize - New Members Joining in May
New members are entered to win by signing up for a membership in the month of May. The earlier you join the more entries you get (ex. Join May 1st for 31
entries, join May 30 for 2 entries).
Additional entries can be gained in the following ways during the month of May:
- 1 extra entry for each day you visit the facility
- 1 extra entry for attending a fitness class (must be signed up online.)
- 31 extra entries for referring a friend and having them join as a member (see “Referrals” section for more details)

Social Media Prize
We are giving away 8 one month plus memberships via social media. To be eligible for the entry:
Referrals
The more the merrier! For every friend that joins us during the month of May, you gain additional entries for the grand prize.
Starting May 1st, referral cards will be available for members to pick up at the following locations:
- Membership Services Desk
- Fitness Desk
- Rec Room
- Indoor Play
- Crossings Child Care Centre
- Before and After School Care
- Child Minding
Referral cards will allow members to fill in their information and hand them to friends.
A referral card can then be brought to our Membership Services Desk by someone wishing to join as a new member.
The referrer will receive 31 extra entries towards the grand prize for each referral that joins us as a member (there is no cap on number of referrals).
The newly referred member will receive entries in accordance with their sign-up date and must not have cancelled previously between Jan – April 2022.
The 10K Challenge - (May 7th to May 14th)
What’s your 10K? The 10K Challenge will encourage members to move 10 KM in one week. Run, bike, swim, or any combination of your favorite activities counts!
Get a 10K postcard from our Membership Services Desk or Fitness desk, and complete the 10K Challenge for 10 additional entries for the grand prize.
Giveaway Rules:
No purchase necessary. Giveaway is not affiliated with Instagram or Facebook. Winner to be announced June 3, 2022. The giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
The Race to 10K begins on Sunday May 1, 2022 at 12:01 am Mountain Time (“MT”) and ends on Tuesday May 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm MT (the “Duration”). The giveaway allows eligible entrants the opportunity to win giveaway prizes as a thank you to the Lethbridge community for their support of the YMCA of Lethbridge.
Prizes include two (2) one (1) year family plus membership and YMCA fitness kit, ten (10) three (3) month plus membership, eight (8) one (1) month plus membership, two (2) one (1) month youth membership, thirty-one (31) various prizes valued under $25.00 each. Prizes are non-transferable or convertible to cash. Contest winners must pick up the prize in person at #140 – 74 Mauretania Rd W Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 5L4. All prizes are provided ‘as is’.
The Race to 10K Giveaway is open to legal residents of Canada who enter through membership at the YMCA of Lethbridge visits, YMCA of Lethbridge referrals, attending YMCA of Lethbridge Fitness classes, completing 10K challenge, social media like comment and follow, and/or submitting alternative ways to enter via mail.

Giveaway entries are applied based outlined ways to win listed above. All entries become the property of Sponsor once submitted and will not be acknowledged or returned.
By entering this giveaway, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor’s Official Rules and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at eh Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering these giveaway You agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of the Race to 10K Giveaway.
The Giveaway Period will run from 01/05/2022 to 31/05/2022 at 11:59.00PM. the organizer reserves the right to revise the Giveaway Period at any time without prior notification. All entries received outside the Giveaway Period will be disqualified.
After Giveaway Period, winners will be selected from eligible submissions received during the applicable Giveaway Period and based on individual giveaway criteria (listed above). Winners will be selected based on random draw from eligible submissions. That ineligible to win include;
- Employees of the YMCA of Lethbridge and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers/sisters, including spouses);
and/or - Volunteers of the YMCA of Lethbridge and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers/sisters, including spouses)
From May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022 you may be entered without purchase by hand printing your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and birthdate on a s’X5’ piece of paper and mailing it with proper postage to the YMCA of Lethbridge at #140 – 74 Mauretania Rd W Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 5L4. Within seventy-two (72) hours you will receive receipt of request from [email protected]. Limit one (1) request per envelope. All mail – in request must be handwritten. All mail- in request must be postmarked by May 1, 2022 and received by May 15, 2022. All requests become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Proof of sending or photo will not be deemed to be proof.
