YMCA of Lethbridge
COVID-19 Information Hub
As the development of COVID-19 continues in Canada, the YMCA of Lethbridge is committed to the health and wellness of its staff, volunteers, members, and guests.
The City of Lethbridge late this evening informed us that the Cor Van Raay YMCA is part of a series of facilities ordered to close to the public, immediately until further notice.
Along with this new announcement, earlier this evening we announced the full closure of all our childcare facilities as ordered by the Government of Alberta.
For our YMCA of Lethbridge Members:
Effective March 16, 2020 your membership is being placed on hold. No further fees or withdrawals will occur during this ordered closure. You do not need to confirm this hold. Your membership details will remain in the system.
Members with program registrations will be contacted in the coming days as we determine the future of spring/summer programs
We thank you for your patronage and look forward to reopening all of our facilities and programs when the public health risk is reduced.

Recommendations from Alberta Health Services:
To help protect you and your family against all respiratory illnesses, including flu and COVID-19, you should:
- Wash your hands often and well
- Avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched
- Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill
- When sick, cover your cough and sneezes and then wash your hands
If you have symptoms such as fever, cough and difficulty breathing and have travelled outside Canada or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, stay home and call Health Link 811.
If you are not seriously ill, do not go to a physician’s office, a health care facility or a lab without consulting with Health Link 811 first.
Call 911 if you are seriously ill and need immediate medical attention and inform them that you may have COVID-19.
