Canadian Swim Patrol

Has your child mastered swimming lessons and is looking for more? Canadian Swim Patrol is designed to challenge children with a strong swimming ability, who are ready to learn lifesaving skills in a fun way.


*Child must be able to swim a length of the pool on the 1st day unassisted.

The Canadian Swim Patrol program provides enriched training for those who are ready to go beyond learn-to-swim. Swim Patrol has three levels: Rookie, Ranger, and Star. These programs continue to develop participants’ swim strokes and provide the skill foundation that prepares them for success in the Society’s Bronze Medal awards. Each level of the Canadian Swim Patrol program has three modules: Water Proficiency, First Aid, and Recognition & Rescue.

Please check into the pool through the viewing gallery, located on the south end of the building next to the membership desk. All individuals 18yrs and older need government issued photo ID to access the pool deck. Registered youth under the age of 8 must be signed in by an approved guardian 16yrs and older.

Staff will direct you to the changerooms and designated meeting point for the registered level. Street shoes must be removed before proceeding with these directions.

Benches are available for guardians to view the lesson on deck. Food and shoes are prohibited on the pool deck and benches.

When the lesson is complete, instructors will take participants to the designated meeting point for guardians to sign out. After participants have been signed out, you may proceed to the changerooms and leave.

  • Mondays: April 8 – May 13
  • Tuesdays: April 9 – May 14
  • Wednesdays: April 10 – May 15
  • Thursdays: April 11 – May 16
  • Saturdays: April 13 – May 18

Spring B

  • Tuesdays: May 21 – June 18
  • Wednesdays: May 22 – June 19
  • Thursdays: May 23 – June 20
  • Saturdays: May 24 – June 21
