Why volunteer with us?
Since 1910, the YMCA of Lethbridge has been supporting the community by providing quality camps, programs and services for all ages. The YMCA could not do this without the endless hours, talent and commitment from those volunteers who support our mission and vision for a better, stronger community.
YMCA volunteers work alongside our staff to enhance YMCA participants experiences during their visits. From welcoming everyone into our facility to instructing group fitness classes, volunteers build a sense of community where everyone feels safe and included.
The YMCA is grateful for all our volunteers and take every opportunity to recognize all the great work they do throughout the year. Community and National events including: YQL Volunteer Awards, Stars of Alberta Awards, National Volunteer Week in April, National Philanthropy Week in November allow us to say thank you.
