About KinderCare

Our KinderCare program offers a gentle, nurturing space where young children can begin and end their days feeling safe, supported, and deeply cared for. With warm guidance from compassionate YMCA staff, little ones enjoy playful exploration, comforting routines, and moments that spark wonder and confidence. KinderCare is a place where children can grow at their own pace, make new friends, and feel truly at home.

Our program supports children enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year at:

  • Coalbanks Elementary
  • Mike Mountain Horse Elementary
  • West Coulee Station
  • Other Schools

Locations

  • Crossings at Cor Van Raay YMCA – For children attending Mike Mountain Horse, Coalbanks or other schools.
  • West Coulee Station – For children attending West Coulee Station school 

Program Details

  • We provide before and after school transportation for children attending Coalbanks and Mike Mountain Horse.

  • For West Coulee Station students, we offer off-site KinderCare at the YMCA, and on-site care at West Coulee Station on days your child is attending kindergarten.

  • We offer full-day care for all registered Kindergarten children on non-kindergarten days, PD days and school holidays.

We are now accepting families to join the KinderCare waitlist for the upcoming school year.

By joining the waitlist, we cannot guarantee the availability of spots at the time you join. What it will do is place you in the queue. When a spot becomes available, you will be contacted and asked to confirm if you still need the spot you requested by joining the waitlist.
