About Out of School Care
At the YMCA, our Out of School Care program is a place where children can unwind, explore, and feel at home. From the moment they arrive, they are welcomed into a caring community that celebrates their curiosity and encourages their unique spark. Our spaces are designed to feel cozy, safe, and full of possibility — where friendships grow, imaginations flourish, and every child feels seen and supported.
Whether they’re starting or ending their school day with us, children enjoy comforting routines, joyful play, and gentle guidance from caring leaders who are truly invested in their well‑being. Out of School Care at the YMCA is more than child care — it’s a warm, nurturing environment that helps children thrive.
Locations
- Crossings at Cor Van Raay YMCA – For children attending Mike Mountain Horse, Coalbanks or other schools.
- West Coulee Station – For children attending West Coulee Station school
Program Details
- Our OSC program supports children in Grades 1–6, with flexible care options (Before School Care Only, After School Care Only, and Before & After School Care)
- Before & After School transportation is provided for students of Mike Mountain Horse and Coalbanks.
- Full-day care is available on non-school days, PD days, and school holidays.

Out of School Care
2026-2027 School Year
We are now accepting families to join the 2026–2027 Out of School Care (OSC) Waitlist.
By joining the waitlist, we cannot guarantee the availability of spots at the time you join. What it will do is place you in the queue. When a spot becomes available, you will be contacted and asked to confirm if you still need the spot you requested by joining the waitlist.
KinderCare
We’re thrilled to share that we are now accepting families to join the 2026–2027 KinderCare Waitlist.
Our KinderCare program supports children enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year at select schools.
At the YMCA of Lethbridge, we respect and protect your privacy. With your consent, we will gather only the minimum personal information necessary to register you and your families in our programs and to provide you with appropriate information about our programs and services. We will not sell, exchange, lend or make available to other organizations any personal information that you have provided to us. All personal information will remain confidential.
