The Len Herring Legacy Ride supports the YMCA of Lethbridge Shape [Y]our Future Annual Campaign so everyone has access to participate, grow, develop, and thrive.

With annual contributions starting in 2016, the Herring’s generosity has given hundreds of local children and families the ability to live healthy lifestyles and feel a sense of belonging by accessing YMCA fee assistance memberships and programs so that no one is turned away.

The Len and Bev Herring Studio located at the Cor Van Raay YMCA is a reflection of their legacy in our community and was established in May of 2019. Sadly, Len lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home in October 2020.

Bev and the family continue to support what Len loved the most, cycling and the community, through an annual event that brings people together. The Len Herring Legacy Ride combines activity, friendship and supporting our community which continues to carry on the impact Len and Bev started so many years ago.

In order to receive member pricing, the membership must remain in effect for the duration of the program. Should the participant cancel their membership prior to the end of the program, the YMCA of Lethbridge requires the participant to pay the difference between the member and the non-member pricing to continue in the program.
