Youth Fitness Programs
Our youth programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of youth. All programs will improve fitness, strength, body movement and conditioning. Our 45 minute classes will incorporate functional movements, body weight and mobility to build stronger healthier bodies focusing on proper body mechanics and good technique.

To secure your place in this program, payment is due at the time of registration. If you are unable to make a full payment at the time of registration, please contact our Membership Services department by calling 403-942-5757 or by email us at [email protected].
In order to receive member pricing, the membership must remain in effect for the duration of the program. Should the participant cancel their membership prior to the end of the program, the YMCA of Lethbridge requires the participant to pay the difference between the member and the non-member pricing to continue in the program.
Cancellation Policy: In order to receive a full refund, the YMCA of Lethbridge requires cancellations to be made at least 7 days prior to the program start date. Should the participant cancel within the week before the start date, cancellations will be prorated. Prorating is depending on time before program start date.
Functional Fitness (8Y-11Y)

Are your kids ready to discover their inner strength? Look no further! Our “Functional fitness” program is designed specifically for 8 to 10-year-olds, combining fitness, fun, and safety.

Girls to Lift (11Y-13Y)
Empower your young athlete with our Learn to Lift program designed specifically for girls aged 11 to 13! This class focuses on teaching proper lifting techniques and body mechanics in a safe, encouraging environment. Participants will learn foundational exercises, including squats, deadlifts, and upper body movements, with an emphasis on correct form and injury prevention. Led by experienced instructors, this program promotes strength, confidence, and body awareness while fostering a supportive community among participants. Ideal for girls looking to enhance their athletic skills, stay active, and build a positive relationship with fitness, this program sets the stage for lifelong health and strength. House of Iron (14Y-17Y)
House of iron will give the opportunity to learn about hypertrophy training and weight lifting. This program will offer a more interactive coaching in order to take training to the next level. House of iron will be focused on building muscle and learning to lift both efficiently and safely.

Learn to Lift (11Y-13Y)
Learning to lift weights with proper technique and attention to form is the primary focus of this program. Exercises such as squats, deadlifts, shoulder work, bicep, triceps, lunges will all be taught from the basics progressing throughout the program.
